I wanted to share my experience with setting up a dimming feature for my bathroom lights using Homey Pro. The goal was to have the lights automatically dim to 5% between 11 PM and 6 AM. While I managed to create a flow for this, I encountered some unexpected issues where one or two bulbs would not dim properly and remained at 100% brightness. This was quite frustrating, especially since the bulbs are OSRAM Zigbee and the remote control is Philips Hue, both integrated directly into Homey Pro.
After some trial and error, I realized that the problem might be related to the firmware of the bulbs. I decided to update the firmware for all the bulbs involved, and to my delight, the issue resolved itself! It turns out that ensuring all devices are up to date is crucial for smooth functionality.
I also discovered that sometimes pressing the button again on the non-dimming bulbs would force them to adjust. While this wasn’t a permanent solution, it was a helpful workaround until the firmware update.
For anyone else facing similar issues, I recommend checking the firmware versions of your devices and ensuring they are all up to date. Additionally, testing your flows with a fresh setup can help identify any lingering issues. Happy automating! ![]()
