Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with updating my Z-Wave sensors and how I managed to resolve some issues that came up. It’s been quite a journey, but I’m happy to say everything is working smoothly now!A few weeks ago, I decided to update the firmware on my 2GIG GC2 panel from version 1.17 to 1.19. I was excited to get the latest features and improvements, but things didn’t go as smoothly as I hoped. After the update, one of my Image Sensors (201.10) stopped connecting to the panel and my alarm system. I was a bit worried, but I remembered reading somewhere that sometimes holding the sensor in reset mode for too long can cause issues. I thought I might have done that by accident.I started troubleshooting by checking the sensor’s connection and re-pairing it with the panel. At first, nothing worked, and I was a bit stuck. But then I found a helpful guide online that suggested resetting the sensor and re-adding it to the panel. I followed the steps: I removed the sensor from the panel’s configuration, reset it, and then re-paired it. It took a few tries, but eventually, the sensor connected back without any issues!I also noticed that the SuretyCAM logo on my panel was missing, but I think that’s a minor glitch that will be fixed with an upcoming OTA update. For now, I’m just happy that the sensor is back online and everything is working as it should. This experience taught me the importance of careful firmware updates and thorough troubleshooting. I’m really grateful to the community for all the resources and support that helped me get through this. If anyone else runs into similar issues, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m happy to help!Cheers, [Your Name]
