Successfully Fixing Popp Keypad Issues with Z-Wave 2 MQTT

I recently upgraded my Popp keypad to Z-Wave 2 MQTT, and I must say, it was a bit of a rollercoaster ride! At first, everything seemed to work smoothly, but after a short while, I noticed that only one or two scenes were triggering correctly. This was quite puzzling, especially since the keypad had been working fine with OZW before the upgrade.

I decided to dig deeper into the issue. After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that the problem might be related to how the keypad was configured in the new Z-Wave 2 MQTT environment. I started by checking the association groups and ensuring that all necessary nodes were properly included.

What really turned things around was adjusting the scene settings within Z-Wave 2 MQTT. I realized that the scenes weren’t being recognized because their configurations weren’t fully optimized for the new protocol. By tweaking the scene triggers and ensuring that all commands were correctly mapped, the keypad started responding as expected.

This experience taught me the importance of thoroughly checking configurations after major system upgrades. It also highlighted how a community-driven approach can lead to effective problem-solving. If anyone else is facing similar issues, I’d recommend double-checking your scene settings and associations. Happy troubleshooting! :rocket:
