Successfully Fixing Sunset Time in SmartThings

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with fixing the sunset time issue in SmartThings. I noticed that my lights weren’t turning on at the right time, and it was quite frustrating. After some research, I realized that the sunset time set in the SmartThings app wasn’t matching the actual sunset time in my location.

I decided to log into the SmartThings developer portal and check the sunset time there. To my surprise, it was showing a time that was almost an hour off from the actual sunset. I wasn’t sure how to fix this at first, but after some digging, I found that I could manually update the sunset time in the app.

I went back to the SmartThings app, navigated to the settings, and adjusted the sunset time to match the correct time from my local weather forecast. It took a few minutes, but the lights started turning on at the right time again!

This experience taught me the importance of checking the settings and verifying the data sources in my smart home setup. I hope this helps anyone else who might be having similar issues with their lights not turning on at the right time. If you have any questions or need help, feel free to reach out!
