Hello all, I wanted to share my recent success in grouping my Nest speakers to play TuneIn radio in the mornings. This has been a goal of mine for quite some time, and I finally managed to get it working smoothly. I hope my experience can help others who might be tackling a similar project.First, my objective was to create a morning routine that would automatically turn on my lights, disarm my alarm system, and play my favorite radio show through my three Nest speakers in the living room. I found this to be a perfect way to start the day, especially when I’m in a hurry.Initially, I encountered some challenges. I tried grouping the speakers through both the Google Home app and the Homey app, but neither seemed to work as intended. I would get errors or the speakers wouldn’t play in sync. It was a bit frustrating, but I decided to take it step by step. After some research, I discovered that creating a flow in the Homey app was the key. I set up the flow to trigger at a specific time in the morning. The flow includes actions to turn on the lights, disarm the alarm, and then play the TuneIn radio show through the grouped Nest speakers. To ensure the grouping worked correctly, I had to manually select each speaker in the flow settings. It was a bit tedious, but once configured, it worked like a charm. Now, every morning, I’m greeted by my favorite radio show playing seamlessly across all three speakers.I’m really happy with how this turned out. It adds a nice touch to my mornings and has made my daily routine much more enjoyable. I want to thank the community for all the helpful tips and resources that guided me through this process. If anyone has questions or needs assistance with similar setups, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help!
