Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent success in integrating my Foscam camera with Home24. I’ve been trying to get this set up for a while now, and it was a bit of a puzzle, but I finally cracked it! Here’s what I did:
First, I made sure my camera was properly connected to my home network. I reset it to factory settings and reconfigured it using the Foscam app. Once it was set up, I noted down the IP address and port number from the app.
Next, I went into Home24 and navigated to the devices section. I looked for an option to add a new camera and found a generic IP camera setup. I entered the IP address, port, and used the default username and password from the camera’s settings. I was a bit worried it wouldn’t work, but to my delight, the camera feed popped up!
I also configured motion detection on the camera itself and set up alerts in Home24. Now, whenever there’s movement, I get a notification on my phone. It’s been a great addition to my smart home setup!
For anyone else trying to do this, here are a few tips:
- Ensure your camera’s firmware is up to date.
- Check your router settings to make sure the camera has the necessary permissions.
- If you’re using a non-default port, make sure to include it in the Home24 settings.
It’s such a relief to have everything working smoothly now. I hope this helps someone else out there who’s struggling with the same issue. Happy integrating! ![]()
