I’m thrilled to share my recent success in integrating my smart heating system!
After researching and planning for weeks, I finally set up my Danfoss ECL Comfort 110 thermostat with the HmIP-PCBS-BAT module. The process was smoother than I expected, and the results are amazing!
For those who might be considering a similar setup, here’s a quick rundown of what I did:
-
Research: I looked into various options for integrating my heating system with my smart home setup. The Externe Übersteuerung feature on my Danfoss thermostat seemed like the perfect solution.
-
Hardware Setup: I installed the HmIP-PCBS-BAT module, which allowed me to control the heating system’s contacts. I chose this module because it offers a reliable way to switch between different heating modes without needing external relays.
-
Configuration: I configured the module to use the in Ruhe offen setting. This ensures that if the power to the module ever goes out, my heating system defaults back to its automatic mode—a great fail-safe!
-
Testing: I tested the setup thoroughly to make sure everything worked as expected. It was a relief to see that the heating system responded perfectly to commands from my smart home hub.
The best part? Now that I’m away from home for extended periods, I can easily switch to the Nacht Modus using my smart home app. This has been a game-changer for energy efficiency and convenience!
If anyone has questions about this setup or similar projects, feel free to reach out. I’d love to help others achieve the same level of smart home integration! ![]()
