I’ve been on a journey to integrate various smart home devices from different brands, and I’m thrilled to share my success story! 
Initially, I faced several challenges, especially with getting devices from different manufacturers to work seamlessly together. For instance, my GE Z-Wave switches were causing some issues with network IDs, but after some research and troubleshooting, I found a workaround that allowed me to replace faulty switches without redoing all my automations. It was a bit tricky, but the sense of accomplishment was worth it!
Another highlight was setting up my outdoor lights using Govee products. I was worried about compatibility, especially since I’m now switching from Tuya to Shelly devices. However, with the help of Shelly’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth extender, I managed to create a reliable outdoor lighting system. The Shelly Outdoor Plug has been a game-changer, and the improved signal strength from the extender has made everything run smoothly. I couldn’t be happier with the results!
I also wanted to mention my experience with the Eufy Solocam S220. Integrating it with Home Assistant using the eufy-security-ws integration was a breeze, and the notifications with live streams are incredibly useful. I’ve even set up AI to suppress notifications when I’m detected, which has been a lifesaver given my living situation.
One thing I’d like to share is the importance of community support. If you’re struggling with something, don’t hesitate to reach out to forums or communities. The knowledge and advice I’ve received have been invaluable. For example, when I was having trouble with my Hue lights frequently becoming unavailable, the community suggested checking the network settings and ensuring all firmware was up to date. That simple fix solved the issue!
