I recently decided to migrate from Homey to Home Assistant and encountered a challenge with integrating my Remotec ZRC-90 controller. Initially, the device was only recognized as a Z-Wave device without any functionality, which was quite frustrating. After some research, I found specific instructions on the Home Assistant documentation that mentioned modifying the zwcfg file. Following these steps involved stopping Home Assistant, making the necessary changes, and restarting the service. However, I noticed that after each restart, the configuration reverted to its previous state. This was perplexing, and I wasn’t entirely sure how to properly stop and restart Home Assistant to ensure the changes persisted.
After some trial and error, I discovered that using the command line to stop and start Home Assistant was the key. Once I applied the changes correctly, the Remotec ZRC-90 finally started working as expected. It’s been a great addition to my setup, allowing me to control multiple scenes seamlessly. This experience taught me the importance of carefully following documentation and not being afraid to experiment with different methods. If anyone else is struggling with similar issues, I’d be happy to share more details or troubleshoot together!
