Successfully Integrated Virtual Keypad for Enhanced Security

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with setting up a virtual keypad in my smart home setup. It’s been a game-changer for how I manage my security system! :rocket:

I’ve been using Hubitat for a while now, and while it’s super powerful, I was looking for a more user-friendly way to arm and disarm my security system without having to dig through multiple menus. That’s when I stumbled upon the virtual keypad created by mbarone. It was exactly what I needed!

The installation process was pretty straightforward, but I did run into a little hiccup when trying to disarm the system without entering a code. After some digging through the forums and a bit of trial and error, I figured out that I needed to adjust the settings in the virtual keypad configuration. Once that was sorted, everything worked like a charm! :dart:

One of the features I love the most is how it integrates seamlessly with my existing security setup. I’ve even wired a solenoid valve to shut off our water supply when we arm the system and leave, just to be extra safe. :toolbox: And to top it all off, I’ve added TUYA water leak detectors throughout the house, which can also shut off the water through Hubitat if any leaks are detected. It’s all about layers of security, right? :shield:

I’d like to give a huge shoutout to the community for all the helpful tips and support. It’s amazing how a group of passionate users can make such a big difference in making your smart home experience better. If you’re looking for a more intuitive way to manage your security system, I highly recommend checking out the virtual keypad. You won’t regret it! :bulb:

Happy automating everyone! :star2:
