Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent success in integrating a Wyze Cam with Home Assistant. It’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup, and I thought I’d walk through the process in case anyone else is looking to do the same!
First, I started by ensuring my Wyze Cam was properly set up on the Wyze app. Once that was done, I moved on to Home Assistant. I followed the official documentation, which was really helpful. I installed the Wyze integration through the Home Assistant interface and entered my Wyze account details. The setup was pretty straightforward, and within minutes, my camera was showing up in Home Assistant!
One thing I wanted to do was enable RTSP streaming for better compatibility with other services. I came across the yi-hack-v4 firmware, which allows RTSP access. It was a bit of a process, but I managed to flash the firmware without any issues. Now, I can access the live feed seamlessly within Home Assistant!
