Successfully Integrating Dooya Motor with Vera Controller

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent success in integrating a Dooya RF motor with my Vera controller. After spending hours researching and trying different methods, I finally figured out a reliable way to get everything working smoothly. Here’s how I did it:

  1. Initial Setup: I started by configuring the Dooya motor using its own RF remote. This was essential to ensure the motor was working correctly and ready for integration.

  2. Vera Configuration: I navigated to the Vera Devices section and located my RFXtrx controller. From there, I selected the option to add a new device. I chose the category DC106, which seemed to be the most compatible with my setup.

  3. Device Naming and ID Selection: I named the device something descriptive and chose an ID that was easy to remember. This step is crucial for easy identification within the Vera interface.

  4. Pairing Process: The most challenging part was getting the motor into inclusion mode. I pressed the programming button on the remote twice, and the motor responded by moving slightly. This confirmed that it was in the correct mode.

  5. Final Configuration: Back in Vera, I selected the newly created device and confirmed the pairing. The motor moved again, indicating a successful connection.

  6. Testing: I tested the motor from the Vera devices list, and it worked perfectly! It’s such a relief to have this integration working without any issues.

If anyone else is struggling with integrating their Dooya motor, I hope this step-by-step guide helps. It’s a great feeling to have everything working as intended, and I’m excited to continue expanding my smart home setup. Happy tinkering everyone! :]
