Successfully Integrating Eero and HE Zigbee Networks for Seamless Home Automation

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent success in integrating my Eero and HE Zigbee networks. It was a bit of a challenge, but the result has been fantastic! :tada:

For those who might be facing similar issues, here’s a quick rundown of what I did:

:one: Understanding the Setup: I started with my Eero router plugged into the main Ethernet switch. From there, I have eight devices connected, including a second switch in the basement. The second Eero and HE were located about 30 feet away on the first floor.

:two: Signal Concerns: I noticed that adding a Zigbee outlet near the first Eero linked it to the Eero network, but not the HE. Bringing it closer to the HE linked it there instead. This made me realize the importance of ensuring both networks were on the same channel for better communication.

:three: The Solution: After some research and trial and error, I realized that running additional Ethernet cables wasn’t the only option. Instead, I focused on optimizing the placement of my Eero and HE devices to ensure they were within optimal range of each other. This involved some strategic repositioning and ensuring there were no major obstructions between them.

:four: Testing and Fine-Tuning: Once everything was set up, I tested the network thoroughly. I added a few more devices to see if they could connect seamlessly across both networks. The results were amazing—everything worked like clockwork!

This experience taught me the importance of understanding your network layout and being patient when integrating different systems. It also highlighted how a little trial and error can go a long way in achieving the perfect setup.

If anyone else is struggling with similar issues, feel free to reach out! I’d be happy to share more details or tips. Happy automating! :rocket:
