Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent success in integrating my existing Elero shutter motors with my HC3 system. I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while, and I’m thrilled to finally get it working smoothly without disrupting my current setup!
I have about 18 Elero RolTop/D-868 motors controlled by a MultiTec Touch-868 remote. The challenge was to integrate them into my HC3 system without losing any of the existing configurations, like the top and bottom limits. After some research and trial and error, I found a method that worked perfectly!
Here’s what I did:
- I used the existing MultiTec Touch-868 remote to send commands to the HC3. This way, I didn’t have to reconfigure the motors or risk losing any settings.
- I set up the HC3 to recognize the remote’s signals. This involved a bit of setup in the HC3 interface, but it was straightforward once I figured out the right settings.
- I tested each shutter individually to ensure they were responding correctly. It was a bit time-consuming, but it was worth it to make sure everything was working as expected.
Why this approach worked:
- It preserved all my existing configurations, which was crucial since I didn’t want to start from scratch.
- It allowed me to control my shutters both manually with the remote and through the HC3 app, giving me the flexibility I wanted.
- The integration was seamless, and I didn’t encounter any issues once everything was set up.
Tips for others:
- Take your time to test each shutter individually. It might seem tedious, but it ensures that everything is working correctly from the start.
- If you’re unsure about any step, don’t hesitate to reach out to the community. There are plenty of helpful people here who can guide you through the process.
I’m really happy with how this turned out. It’s been a great addition to my smart home setup, and I love having the convenience of controlling my shutters through my phone. If anyone has questions or needs help with a similar project, feel free to ask!
Happy integrating everyone! ![]()
