I recently decided to give the GE Cync lightbulbs a try, primarily for their color-changing capabilities. My goal was to use them as indicators around the house. After some research, I found the GE Cync bulbs on Amazon, expecting them to work seamlessly with my Hubitat setup. Unfortunately, my initial experience was quite disappointing. The bulbs arrived without any Matter logo or QR code, and they weren’t detected by Apple HomeKit, which meant I couldn’t pair them with Hubitat either. This was a bit of a letdown, especially since I was really looking forward to using them. However, I didn’t lose hope and decided to explore other options. After some time, I came across another brand that supported Matter and was fully compatible with Hubitat. The process was smooth, and now I have functional, customizable bulbs that fit perfectly into my smart home ecosystem. This experience taught me the importance of checking compatibility and certifications before making a purchase. I’m now enjoying the flexibility and customization these bulbs offer, and I’m excited to see how they can enhance my home automation setup further.
