Hey everyone! I wanted to share my exciting journey of integrating Google Home with Home Assistant. It all started when I linked my Google Home to HA, and I was thrilled to see that I could type text into the GUI and have it speak through Google Home. It was like magic! 
However, I had this burning desire to take it a step further. I wanted Google Home to provide feedback when certain actions were triggered. For instance, if I asked it to turn off a light, I’d love for it to say, ‘Okay, I turned off the living room light for you.’ It’s all about that seamless interaction, right? 
After some research and tinkering, I stumbled upon a solution using IFTTT and HA scripts. The process was a bit of a puzzle at first, but breaking it down into smaller steps made it manageable. I ended up creating a simple automation where specific events trigger a text-to-speech response from Google Home. The satisfaction of hearing that confirmation was priceless!
