Successfully Integrating Govee Lights with Shelly Devices

I’ve been on a journey to create a seamless smart home ecosystem, and I’m thrilled to share my experience with the Govee lights and Shelly devices. :star2:

Recently, I decided to enhance my outdoor lighting setup by installing Govee strip lights on my patios. Pairing them with Shelly Pro 1 relays allowed me to automate the system without needing any app control, which was a huge win! :tada:

One challenge I faced was connecting the latching pushbuttons across six separate buildings. Initially, I thought the Shelly 1L would be the perfect solution, but since it’s discontinued, I had to get creative. After some research, I found that using Shelly 1PMs with a custom firmware setup did the trick! :bulb:

I also wanted to ensure that the system was reliable and low-maintenance. By setting up a shared wireless network and using the Shelly app to configure the relays, I was able to create a robust system that triggers the alarm horn in the central building when needed. :rotating_light:

This project not only improved my home security but also gave me a deeper understanding of how different smart devices can work together. If anyone has similar goals, I highly recommend exploring the Govee and Shelly combination—it’s been a game-changer for me! :rocket:

Any tips or tricks you’ve used to integrate your smart devices would be awesome to hear about! Let’s keep the smart home innovations flowing! :bulb::sparkles:
