Successfully Integrating Govee Products with Loxone System

I’ve been on a journey to integrate my Govee smart lights with my Loxone smart home system, and I’m thrilled to share my success story! :tada:

For those who might be wondering, Govee products are known for their sleek design and affordability, but integrating them with a custom system like Loxone wasn’t straightforward. After some research and experimentation, I discovered that using the MQTT protocol was the key to unlocking this integration.

Here’s a quick overview of what worked for me:

  1. MQTT Setup: I configured my Govee devices to communicate via MQTT. This involved setting up a broker and ensuring that the Govee devices were publishing and subscribing to the right topics.
  2. Loxone Configuration: On the Loxone side, I used the system’s scripting capabilities to interpret the MQTT messages. This allowed me to create custom rules for controlling the Govee lights through the Loxone interface.
  3. Testing: The initial setup was a bit trial and error, but once everything was aligned, the integration worked seamlessly! I can now control my Govee lights through both the Govee app and my Loxone system.

This integration has been a game-changer for me, combining the best of both worlds. If anyone else is looking to do something similar, I’d be happy to share more details or troubleshoot any issues you might encounter! :rocket:
