Successfully Integrating HmIP DSD PCB with MP3 Dongle and Shelly 1

After a lot of trial and error, I finally managed to get my HmIP DSD PCB working alongside my MP3 Dong and a Shelly 1. Let me share my experience in case it helps anyone else out there!

I started with the basics: connecting the HmIP DSD PCB to my existing setup. The goal was to have it trigger the MP3 Dong to play a custom tone when the doorbell rings. At first, it was a bit overwhelming with all the wires and components, but breaking it down step by step made it manageable.

I was particularly concerned about whether the Shelly 1 would integrate smoothly. After some research, I found that it’s indeed possible to use the Shelly 1 as a mediator between the doorbell and the MP3 Dong. The key was configuring the Shelly app correctly to detect the doorbell signal and then sending the right command to trigger the MP3 player.

One thing I learned is the importance of proper wiring. I had to ensure that all connections were secure to avoid any signal loss. The yellow and green markings on my setup were crucial for identifying the right paths. I also had to adjust some settings on the MP3 Dong to ensure it played the tone at the right volume and without any delays.

Testing was a bit nerve-wracking, but when it finally worked, it was such a relief! Now, whenever someone rings the doorbell, the MP3 Dong plays a pleasant tone, and I can easily check who’s there without any hassle.

For anyone else attempting a similar setup, I’d recommend taking it one step at a time and not getting discouraged by initial setbacks. The community support was invaluable, and I couldn’t have done it without the tips and advice I found online.

Happy tinkering everyone! :rocket:
