Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with setting up multiple Amazon Echo devices in my home. It’s been a journey, but I’ve learned a lot along the way!
Initially, I was a bit overwhelmed with the idea of having multiple Echos in different rooms. I wanted each device to control specific smart home devices in their respective areas without interfering with others. After some research and trial and error, I figured out a great way to manage this!
Here’s what I did:

Grouping Devices: I grouped my smart devices based on the room they’re in. For example, all devices in the living room are grouped together, and the same goes for the bedroom and kitchen.

Using Routines: Amazon Routines have been a lifesaver. I set up routines for each Echo to control only the devices in their area. For instance, my Echo in the kitchen controls the lights and the coffee maker, while the one in the living room handles the TV and the sound system.

Alexa Skills: I discovered that certain Alexa skills can help manage multiple devices more efficiently. Skills like “Smart Home Routines” have made it easier to create customized controls for each room.

Testing and Adjustments: I spent some time testing each Echo to ensure they only interact with the devices they’re supposed to. It took a bit of tweaking, but now everything works seamlessly!
