I’ve recently embarked on a journey to integrate my Nest devices with SmartThings, and I’m thrilled to share my success story! 
Like many of you, I’ve been using Nest for its seamless integration with Google Home, but I wanted to take it a step further by connecting it to my SmartThings setup. The challenge was figuring out how to use the authorization code from Nest to complete the integration. After some research and experimentation, here’s how I cracked it:

Login and Authorization: I started by logging into my Nest account and granting SmartThings access. This was straightforward, but I was a bit puzzled about where to input the authorization code next.

Finding the Code: After accepting the permissions, Nest sent me a code. I realized this code was essential for linking the two platforms, but I wasn’t sure where to enter it. I scoured the SmartThings app and documentation, and eventually, it clicked—this code was meant for the SmartThings integration settings!

Entering the Code: I navigated to the SmartThings app, went to the integrations section, and found the Nest manager. There, I pasted the code I received, and voilà! The integration was complete. It was such a relief to see everything sync up perfectly.

Testing the Integration: To ensure everything worked, I tested a few commands through SmartThings. My Nest thermostat responded flawlessly, adjusting temperatures as I commanded. It was a moment of pure satisfaction!
