Successfully Integrating Reolink Cameras with Homey

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating my Reolink Duo 2 POE cameras with Homey. Initially, I set them up directly using the ONVIF Camera app, and everything worked smoothly with live feeds. However, when I introduced the Reolink RLN8-410 NVR, things got a bit tricky. I deleted the individual camera entries in Homey and tried adding the NVR, but I kept getting an ECONNREFUSED error when trying to access the live feeds.

After some research and troubleshooting, I realized the issue was with the port settings. I had enabled RTSP on the NVR but didn’t adjust the ONVIF port correctly. Once I set the ONVIF port to 8000 and ensured RTSP was properly configured, the cameras started working seamlessly again. It was a bit of a learning curve, but now I have a more centralized setup with the NVR, which is great for managing multiple cameras.

If anyone else is having similar issues, I’d recommend double-checking your port settings and ensuring all protocols like RTSP and ONVIF are correctly configured. It’s also helpful to consult the Homey forums or community groups for support—there are some really knowledgeable people out there willing to help.

Overall, I’m happy with how this setup is working now. It’s a solid solution for monitoring my home, and I appreciate the flexibility Homey offers in integrating different devices. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the discussions that helped me resolve this issue!
