Successfully Integrating RTS Devices Without a Bridge

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with integrating RTS devices into my Homey setup without needing a separate bridge. Last year, I purchased a Homey Pro 2019 for a Zigbee/RTS project. Initially, everything worked smoothly with my RTS roller shutters. However, after some time, I noticed that the RTS/Zigbee functionality seemed unavailable unless I purchased an additional Homey bridge. This was a bit confusing, so I decided to dig deeper.

After some research and testing, I discovered that with the right configuration, it’s possible to use RTS devices alongside Zigbee without needing an extra bridge. I adjusted my network settings and ensured that all devices were properly paired. The key was ensuring that the Homey firmware was up to date and that all devices were correctly integrated into the Zigbee network.

I also explored some troubleshooting tips that helped me resolve connectivity issues. For instance, resetting the devices and re-pairing them with Homey made a significant difference. Additionally, using the Homey app to monitor device statuses provided valuable insights into what was working and what wasn’t.

This experience taught me the importance of thorough configuration and the value of community support. If anyone else is facing similar challenges, I’d recommend checking your firmware updates, ensuring proper pairing, and consulting the forums for additional tips. It’s amazing how much can be achieved with a little patience and persistence!

Happy smart home tinkering everyone! :rocket:
