Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent success with integrating Sengled Classic Element bulbs into my HomeKit setup. As a relatively new Hubitat user, I’ve been on a journey to create a seamless smart home experience, and this particular challenge was both frustrating and rewarding to overcome.
A few weeks back, after an iOS update, my Sengled bulbs stopped responding consistently in the Home app. It was perplexing—everything had been working perfectly until that update. I tried the usual troubleshooting steps: re-pairing the bulbs, resetting the Hubitat, and even deleting and re-adding the smart hub in the Home app. Nothing seemed to stick. At one point, it felt like the bulbs were ghosts in my system, visible but unresponsive.
After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that the issue might be related to how the bulbs were paired with the Hubitat. I decided to start fresh: I removed all Sengled bulbs from my Hubitat setup, waited a bit, and then added them again using the Hubitat app’s guided setup. This time, I made sure to follow each step meticulously, ensuring that the bulbs were in range and that the pairing process completed without interruptions.
To my delight, the bulbs are now rock-solid in both Hubitat and HomeKit. The key takeaway for me was the importance of a clean, step-by-step setup process, especially after any significant system updates. It’s a reminder that sometimes, going back to basics can solve even the most puzzling issues.
This experience has been a great learning opportunity, and I’m now more confident in troubleshooting similar issues in the future. If anyone else is having trouble with Sengled bulbs or any other devices, don’t hesitate to ask—I’m happy to share what I’ve learned!
Cheers to all the tinkerers out there—let’s keep pushing the boundaries of our smart homes! ![]()
