I’ve been on a journey to create a seamless smart home setup, and I’m thrilled to share my success story! 
Recently, I wanted to integrate my Shelly devices with Homey to automate my lighting system. The goal was to have my lights turn on automatically when I enter a room and dim when it’s dark outside. After some research, I stumbled upon a helpful guide in the forums about setting up Shelly devices with Homey using IFTTT and Google Home. It was exactly what I needed!
Here’s what I did:
- Setup Shelly Devices: I connected my Shelly plugs to the desired lights and ensured they were properly configured in the Shelly app.
- Integrate with Homey: Using the Homey app, I added my Shelly devices and set up scenes for different lighting modes (e.g., Evening Relax, Movie Night).
- Automation with IFTTT: I created a rule where motion sensors trigger the Evening Relax scene, adjusting the lights to a cozy setting.
- Sunset Adjustment: I linked the lights to a sunset timer in Google Home, ensuring they dim automatically as it gets darker.
The result? Perfect automation! My lights now adapt seamlessly to my routines and the time of day.
