Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating a smart thermostat with my existing Z-Wave setup. It’s been a journey of learning and tweaking, but the results have been fantastic!
I recently purchased a TRV for our bedroom, hoping to control the radiator independently. However, I faced an issue where turning on the upstairs radiator would activate the entire house system. After some research, I discovered that manually turning off other radiators or installing TRVs for the whole house was necessary. While this wasn’t ideal, it taught me a lot about system compatibility and the importance of thorough planning.
On another note, I’ve been exploring Z-Wave devices and their integration with my Qolsys IQ Panel. It’s amazing how seamlessly everything works together once configured properly. I’ve noticed that using Z-Wave for lighting control adds a whole new layer of convenience to my smart home setup.
