I’ve always loved the convenience of voice commands, but I was a bit puzzled about how to make Google Home play Spotify on a specific device. After some research and trial and error, I figured it out! Here’s what I did:
- Default Music Service: First, I set Spotify as my default music service in Google Home. This was straightforward—just a quick adjustment in the settings.
- Device Pairing: I made sure my tablet, which is where I primarily use Spotify, was logged into the same account as my Google Home devices. This ensures seamless communication between the two.
- Custom Commands: I experimented with different voice commands and found that saying, “OK Google, play Spotify on my tablet,” worked perfectly. It’s amazing how specific you can get with these commands!
Now, I can enjoy my favorite playlists and albums without lifting a finger—just my voice!
This integration has really elevated my music experience at home. Huge thanks to the community for all the helpful tips and tricks! If anyone has questions or needs a hand, feel free to reach out. Happy streaming! ![]()
