Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with integrating Tasmota sensors into Home Assistant. I recently migrated from Iobroker to Home Assistant, and I must say, the transition has been quite smooth thanks to Proxmox. However, I encountered a bit of a hiccup when trying to get my Tasmota sensors to display energy data on my dashboard.
Initially, everything seemed to be going according to plan. I followed a YouTube tutorial step by step, installed the necessary Tasmota device, configured the sensors in my configuration.yaml, and added them to my energy dashboard. But despite my best efforts, the data just wasn’t showing up. I was a bit puzzled—had I missed something? Was there an error in my configuration?
After some research and reaching out to the community, I realized that the issue was with how the sensors were being referenced in my dashboard. Once I corrected the sensor IDs and ensured that the data was being properly logged by Tasmota, everything started working like a charm! It’s amazing how a small oversight can cause such frustration, but it’s also reassuring to know that the community is so supportive.
I’d like to give a huge shoutout to everyone who took the time to help me troubleshoot. Your insights and patience were invaluable. If anyone else is having trouble with Tasmota integration, don’t hesitate to ask—there’s no shortage of helpful folks in this community!
This experience has also taught me the importance of double-checking configurations and referencing logs for troubleshooting. It’s a great reminder to stay calm and methodical, even when things don’t go as planned. Happy automating everyone!
