Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent success in integrating my old Wiser Smart System with a standard Zigbee Hub. After some research, I discovered that although these devices aren’t officially certified, they can be coerced into joining a Zigbee network with some effort. I picked up a Zigbee Hub during a Black Friday sale and started experimenting with my spare devices. To my delight, I managed to get basic thermostat control working!
The process wasn’t without its challenges. I had to tweak some settings and even modify the binding smart app slightly. But seeing the devices communicate and function seamlessly was incredibly rewarding. I’ve shared my findings and the GitHub repository for anyone interested in trying this out. It’s a great way to breathe new life into older systems!
