Successfully Integrating Wyze Cams and Fibaro Thermostats

I’ve been on a journey to integrate my Wyze cameras and Fibaro thermostats into my smart home ecosystem, and I’m thrilled to share my experience! :tada:

After struggling with remote updates for my Wyze V2 cams, I discovered a reliable workaround by manually updating the firmware. It was a hassle, but it kept my security system running smoothly. Now, with the latest firmware, my cameras are more responsive than ever, and I can monitor my home effortlessly.

On the thermostat front, I’ve been configuring my Fibaro FGR-223 Roller Shutters to work seamlessly with openHAB. It took some trial and error, but I finally got the items and sitemap set up correctly. The ability to control my blinds and lamellas through the app has transformed my home automation setup. I can now preset different modes—like fully closed, partially open, or just the lamellas adjusted—right from my phone. It’s incredibly convenient!

One unexpected challenge was getting the basic UI to recognize the Fibaro devices properly. After some troubleshooting, I realized the issue was with the item mappings. Once I adjusted those, everything fell into place. Now, my system sends clear notifications and executes commands without any hiccups.

This experience has taught me the importance of patience and thorough research when integrating different smart home devices. The community support here has been invaluable, and I’m grateful for everyone who shared their tips and tricks.

If anyone else is working on similar projects, feel free to reach out! I’d love to help or learn more about your setups. Happy automating! :rocket:
