I’ve been on a journey to fully integrate my home with Apple’s HomeKit ecosystem, and I’m thrilled to share my recent success with integrating Wyze devices. For years, I relied on Google’s ecosystem, but as I transitioned to Apple devices, I noticed a gap in compatibility—specifically with Wyze products.
After some research and experimentation, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a prototype bridge to connect Wyze devices with HomeKit. The process was both challenging and rewarding. I spent several days coding and testing, and I’m proud to say that it worked! Now, I can seamlessly control all my Wyze devices through the Apple Home app without needing any external services like Homebridge.
This achievement has truly transformed my smart home experience. It’s amazing how much more integrated and intuitive everything feels now. I’d love to hear from others who have successfully integrated non-native devices into HomeKit or have any tips for improving this integration further. Let’s continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible with smart home technology! ![]()
