I’ve been on an exciting journey setting up my smart home, and I wanted to share my experiences and insights with the community. My setup includes a mix of Z-Wave and Wi-Fi devices, and while there have been some challenges, the results have been fantastic. Z-Wave devices like my door locks and light switches have been a joy to work with, offering reliable performance and seamless integration with my Home Assistant setup. On the other hand, my Wi-Fi-enabled cameras and sensors have provided great flexibility, especially with their mobile app integrations. Though I initially faced some connectivity issues with the Wi-Fi devices, adjusting the placement and network settings resolved most of them. I’d love to hear others’ experiences with mixing Z-Wave and Wi-Fi devices and any tips for optimizing performance. It’s been a rewarding project, and I’m excited to continue expanding my smart home ecosystem!
