Successfully Integrating Zigbee Devices After Platform Update

Recently, I faced a challenge with my Zigbee devices after a platform update on my C8 hub. Many of my devices lost their connection, requiring me to rejoin them to the network. This was frustrating, especially since I had not enabled the ‘rebuild on reboot’ option. I decided to share my experience and solution in case others are facing similar issues.First, I realized that the issue might be related to the firmware or software update. I checked the hub’s settings and ensured that all devices were properly paired. I also verified that the Zigbee network was stable by checking the signal strength and ensuring there were no interference issues. After some research, I found that resetting the Zigbee network and rejoining the devices was a common solution. I decided to give this a try. I started by resetting the Zigbee network on my hub, which involved a brief shutdown and restart. Once the hub was back online, I systematically rejoined each device, starting with the most critical ones.During this process, I encountered a few devices that were particularly stubborn. I discovered that using a Zigbee repeater helped extend the network range and improve connectivity. This was especially useful for devices in hard-to-reach areas of my home. One of the key lessons I learned was the importance of maintaining regular backups of my hub’s configuration. This way, if a major update causes issues, I can quickly restore the settings without losing all my customizations.Overall, this experience taught me the value of persistence and thorough troubleshooting. While it was time-consuming, successfully reconnecting all my devices has made my smart home setup more reliable than ever. I hope this story helps others who might be facing similar challenges. Happy integrating! :rocket:
