I’ve been on a journey to declutter my smart home ecosystem, moving various Zigbee devices from SmartThings to Hubitat. It’s a path many seem to follow, and I’m happy to share my experience, especially with the Amazon Made for Amazon Zigbee Smart Switch, Gen3. These switches are a breeze to install—they just fit over existing switches without any wiring, which is a huge plus for me. They run on batteries, and they work seamlessly with toggles or paddles. A minor hiccup I encountered was when they were detected as dimmers in Hubitat, which didn’t quite fit their functionality. However, switching them to a Generic Zigbee Switch resolved the issue, and now they work perfectly. I thought I’d share this in case anyone else runs into the same situation. It’s always satisfying to troubleshoot and find a solution that works smoothly!
