I recently undertook the challenge of migrating my smart home setup from OpenHab 1 to OpenHab 2. While the transition has been mostly smooth, I encountered an interesting issue with the Habdroid app that I wanted to share with the community.
Initially, everything seemed to be working perfectly in the web interface of OpenHab 2. However, when I tried to access the sitemap through Habdroid, I was met with a constant spinning loading circle. This was quite frustrating, especially since the sitemap worked without any issues in OpenHab 1.
After some research and troubleshooting, I discovered that the issue was related to how Habdroid handles sitemaps in OpenHab 2. The solution involved adjusting the settings within Habdroid to ensure it was pointing to the correct sitemap URL. Once I made this adjustment, the app loaded the sitemap seamlessly, and I was back up and running.
This experience taught me the importance of checking app settings during a migration and highlighted how the OpenHab community can come together to solve issues.
