Successfully Migrating to a New Zigbee Coordinator

I wanted to share my recent experience with upgrading my Zigbee setup. After struggling with the reliability of my Conbee II, I decided to switch to a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 coordinator. The process was a bit daunting, but it paid off!

Here’s what I did:

  • Backed up my current setup: I made sure to document all my devices and their configurations before making any changes.
  • Transferred the IEEE address: I followed the instructions to copy the IEEE address from my old Conbee II to the new Sonoff coordinator. This step was crucial to maintain device pairing.
  • Flashed the firmware: I used the latest firmware for the Sonoff coordinator to ensure compatibility.

After some trial and error, everything is running smoothly now! My devices are paired, and the network is stable. It was a bit stressful, but the end result is worth it.

If anyone else is considering an upgrade, I recommend planning thoroughly and taking backups. Happy smart home tinkering! :rocket:
