I recently faced a challenge when migrating my Z-Wave network from HC2 to HC3. After the migration, all my devices were showing as ‘Not Configured.’ I tried reconfiguring the Z-Wave network and soft reconfiguring the devices, but nothing worked. The HC2 was completely replaced by HC3 as the master gateway, which added to the complexity. I was worried about losing all my configurations and settings.
After some research and troubleshooting, I discovered that the issue was related to the network’s security settings. I had to perform a full network reset on HC3, which involved excluding all devices and then re-including them one by one. It was a tedious process, but it paid off. Now, all my devices are working perfectly with HC3, and I can control them seamlessly through the Home Center app.
This experience taught me the importance of understanding the security protocols in Z-Wave networks. I also learned that sometimes a complete reset is necessary to ensure everything works as intended. I’m glad I didn’t give up and managed to resolve the issue without any professional help.
If anyone else is facing similar issues, I recommend checking the network security settings and considering a full reset if needed. It might save you a lot of time and frustration. Happy smart home managing!
