Successfully Pairing TKB Home TZ56S Switch with Hubitat C7

Hey everyone, I’ve been working on integrating some new devices into my smart home setup, and I wanted to share my experience with pairing the TKB Home TZ56S switch with the Hubitat C7 hub. I know some of you might have encountered challenges with this, so I thought I’d walk through my process and hopefully help others out there!

First off, I was really excited to get my hands on the TKB Home TZ56S. It’s a sleek, single switch, and I thought it would be a great addition to my setup. But, as many of us know, sometimes getting devices to work together isn’t as straightforward as we’d like. I decided to give the Hubitat C7 a try, as I’ve heard great things about its compatibility with various devices.

I started by putting the Hubitat C7 into Z-Wave inclusion mode. I followed the instructions carefully, pressing the off button three times on the TKB switch. At first, nothing happened. I tried a few more times, but still no luck. I was a bit discouraged, but I knew there had to be a solution out there.

After some quick research, I came across a forum post suggesting a slightly different approach. Instead of just pressing the off button, I needed to hold it down for a few seconds. I gave it a shot, and voilà! The Hubitat C7 recognized the TKB switch almost immediately. It was such a relief to see it pop up in my device list!

Now that the switch is paired, I’ve been experimenting with different automations. One of my favorites is setting it up to control my living room lights via voice commands. It’s amazing how seamless everything works together once the devices are properly integrated.

If anyone else is struggling with pairing their TKB Home TZ56S or any other devices, don’t hesitate to reach out! I’d be happy to share more tips or troubleshoot with you. Happy smart home tinkering!
