I recently encountered an issue while trying to redeem a software license for my DCE (on-premise) setup. Initially, I followed the official guide provided by EcoStruxure IT Entitlements, which seemed straightforward. However, upon clicking on the available license, I was met with an empty license key field—a rather frustrating experience.
After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that the process requires a few additional steps that aren’t explicitly mentioned in the guide. Here’s what I learned and how I resolved the issue:

Check License Availability: Ensure that the license you’re trying to redeem is listed under the ‘Available Licenses’ section. In my case, the license was correctly listed but lacked the necessary base assets.

Assign Base Assets: The key step I initially missed was assigning base assets to the license. Without this, the system couldn’t generate the license key. I navigated to the ‘Base Assets’ section and added the required components, which unlocked the license key generation process.

Generate the License Key: Once the base assets were correctly assigned, the license key appeared as expected. It’s a relief to finally have everything set up properly!
