I recently encountered a puzzling issue with one of my HmIP-BWTH devices after updating its firmware. The update process, which took nearly two days, seemed to go smoothly, but afterward, the device lost communication with the central system. This was quite concerning, especially since I had six more of these devices scheduled for an update. After the update, I noticed that the device wouldn’t communicate properly. I tried several troubleshooting steps: restarting the device, performing a factory reset, and even removing and re-adding the device in the web interface. Despite these efforts, the device remained unresponsive. It was frustrating, especially since the other devices were working fine.Determined to resolve the issue, I reached out to the community for advice. Someone suggested checking the firmware update process again, ensuring that all steps were followed correctly. Upon reviewing the update logs, I realized that the device had temporarily lost power during the update, which might have corrupted the firmware.I decided to update the device again, this time ensuring it had a stable power supply throughout the process. To my relief, the update completed successfully, and the device重新connected without any issues. This experience taught me the importance of maintaining a stable environment during firmware updates, especially for critical devices.I’m happy to share that all my HmIP-BWTH devices are now up-to-date and functioning perfectly. This resolution was a great learning experience, and I’m grateful for the support from the community. If anyone else runs into similar issues, I recommend double-checking the device’s power supply during updates and ensuring no interruptions occur.
