Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with the HM-Sec-RHS sensors in my smart home setup. After encountering some frustrating issues, I managed to find a solution that might be helpful for others facing similar problems.
A few weeks ago, I noticed that several of my HM-Sec-RHS sensors were malfunctioning. Specifically, the orange LED would flash upon detecting motion, but the CCU wouldn’t register the event. This was quite puzzling since the sensors had been working perfectly fine for over two years. I tried the usual troubleshooting steps—resetting the sensors, changing the batteries, and even re-pairing them with the CCU—but nothing seemed to work.
After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that this issue might be related to firmware updates or compatibility problems. I decided to check the firmware version of my CCU and found that it was outdated. Updating the CCU to the latest firmware didn’t immediately resolve the issue, but it was a crucial step.
The breakthrough came when I stumbled upon a forum post suggesting that the sensors might need to be excluded from the network and then re-included. I followed this advice, carefully excluding each problematic sensor and then re-adding them one by one. To my delight, the sensors started working again as if nothing had ever gone wrong!
This experience taught me the importance of thorough troubleshooting and the value of community support. If anyone else is facing similar issues with their HM-Sec-RHS sensors, I highly recommend checking for CCU firmware updates and trying the exclusion/re-inclusion method. It might just be the solution you’re looking for!
