Successfully Resolving Homey Bridge Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share my recent experience with the Homey bridge, as I encountered and successfully resolved some Wi-Fi connectivity issues. I hope this post can help others facing similar problems.

Initially, I struggled with the Homey bridge not connecting to my Wi-Fi network. After some research, I discovered that the bridge doesn’t support 5GHz Wi-Fi. Following recommendations, I tried separating my 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks and connected the bridge to the 2.4GHz network. However, the issue persisted.

After further troubleshooting, I decided to connect the bridge directly to my router using an Ethernet cable. Surprisingly, this resolved the problem, and the bridge now maintains a stable connection. I realized that the initial advice to use 2.4GHz Wi-Fi might not be the only solution, and sometimes a direct Ethernet connection is necessary.

This experience taught me the importance of exploring all possible solutions, even if they seem unconventional at first. I’m now confident in my Homey setup and enjoy the seamless integration with my smart devices.

If anyone else is facing connectivity issues, I encourage you to try an Ethernet connection as a troubleshooting step. It might just be the solution you need!

Best regards,
