Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Shelly sensors disappearing in Home Assistant. It was quite a puzzle, but I managed to figure it out, and I thought it might help others facing the same issue.
So, it all started when I noticed that all my Shelly sensors were suddenly unavailable in Home Assistant. They were working fine in the Shelly app and on my modem, but Home Assistant just wouldn’t recognize them. I checked the application and service logs, and I saw all the Shelly sensors with exclamation points, which was concerning.
I tried a few things—restarting Home Assistant, checking the network connections, even reinstalling the Shelly integration. Nothing worked. Then, I remembered reading somewhere about service restarts or configuration reloads. I decided to give that a shot.
I went into the Home Assistant settings, found the Integrations section, and there it was—the Shelly integration with a warning. I clicked on it and chose to reload the integration. It took a minute or two, but suddenly, all my Shelly sensors were back online! I was so relieved.
This experience taught me the importance of checking the integration settings and not hesitating to reload or restart services when things go south. It also highlighted how crucial it is to carefully review logs for any hidden clues.
I hope this little story helps someone who might be going through the same frustration. Sometimes, the solution is simpler than we think, but it takes a bit of persistence to find it. Happy smart home tinkering! ![]()
