Successfully Resolving Wyze Camera Detection Zone Issues

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro detection zones. Initially, I was frustrated because the landscape function wasn’t working as expected. The detection zones weren’t adjusting properly, and I couldn’t figure out why. After some research and trial and error, I discovered that adjusting the camera’s angle and manually tweaking the zone settings made a huge difference. Here’s what I learned:

  1. Camera Placement: Ensure the camera is positioned to capture the full area you want to monitor. Sometimes, a slight adjustment can make all the difference.
  2. Zone Configuration: Instead of relying on automatic settings, manually define your detection zones. This gives you precise control over what areas are monitored.
  3. Firmware Update: Make sure your camera’s firmware is up to date. I found that updating resolved several minor issues I was experiencing.
  4. Patience and Testing: Don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t work perfectly on the first try. Test different settings and observe how the camera responds.

By following these steps, I was able to get the detection zones working exactly as I wanted. It’s a great feeling to have a reliable security system in place. If anyone else is struggling with similar issues, I hope this helps!

Happy smart home tweaking! :rocket:
