Successfully Resolving Wyze Camera Firmware Update Issues

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with the Wyze camera firmware update. A few weeks ago, I noticed that after updating the firmware on my Wyze cameras, six out of eleven cameras went offline. The error message indicated an inability to contact the network, even though the Wi-Fi connection was stable. This was quite frustrating, especially since I rely on these cameras for home security.I tried several troubleshooting steps, including resetting the cameras and unplugging them, but nothing worked. I even deleted one camera from the app and reinstalled it, which fixed the issue for that specific camera. However, doing this for all five remaining cameras was inconvenient and time-consuming.After some research on the community forums, I found a workaround. Instead of deleting each camera individually, I discovered that downgrading the firmware to a previous version temporarily resolved the issue. This allowed me to keep all my cameras online without having to reinstall each one. Here’s what I did:1. Backup Settings: I made sure to note down all my camera settings before proceeding.2. Firmware Downgrade: I located an older firmware version on Wyze’s support page and manually installed it on each camera.3. Monitoring: I kept an eye on the cameras to ensure they remained online and functional. While this wasn’t a permanent fix, it gave me some breathing room until Wyze released a more stable firmware update. I’m hopeful that future updates will address these connectivity issues more effectively.I’d like to thank the community for their support and shared knowledge. It’s great to be part of such a helpful and active forum. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I recommend checking the forums for the latest updates and workarounds.Happy smart home tinkering! :rocket:
