I recently stumbled upon a feature that I thought would be a breeze to set up—custom alarm songs. Imagine my excitement when I decided to set ‘Best Friends’ by So Phie Tucker as my morning alarm! However, things didn’t quite go as planned. Instead of my favorite tune, Alexa insisted on playing the So Phie Tucker Radio on Spotify. Frustrating, to say the least!
After spending hours sifting through forums and trying various solutions, I finally figured out a workaround. It turns out, if you create a playlist on Spotify with just that single song, Alexa will play the entire playlist, effectively giving me my custom alarm song. It’s not the most straightforward solution, but it works like a charm!
I thought I’d share this little hack with the community in case anyone else is struggling with the same issue. It’s all about thinking outside the box sometimes. Now, every morning starts with a smile when I hear my favorite tune instead of generic radio stations.
