Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience setting up the iViri app on my iPhone. At first, I was a bit confused about where to start, but after some trial and error, I got everything working smoothly. Here’s how I did it and some tips that might help others avoid common pitfalls.First, I navigated to the settings app on my iPhone and scrolled down to find the iViri section. It was a bit overwhelming at first glance with all the fields to fill out. I learned that for version 1.0, you need to enter your Mios Username, Password, Local IP, Mios Forwarding Server, and Serial Number. However, I discovered that for versions above 1.0, you only need the Username, Password, and Local IP, which makes things much simpler. One thing I struggled with initially was saving the settings. I read somewhere that sometimes, especially on iPhones, if you don’t deselect the Serial Number field after entering it, the settings might not save properly. To fix this, I made sure to tap on a different field after entering each piece of information. This little tip was a game-changer and saved me a lot of frustration. After entering all the necessary details, I killed the Settings app and restarted iViri to ensure everything was applied correctly. This step was crucial because it made sure all my settings were recognized by the app.For those with multiple Vera units, like me, I found that as long as you use the same Mios Username and Password, you can switch between units by just changing the Local IP and clearing out the Serial Number and Forwarding Server fields. This feature is super handy and makes managing multiple systems much easier.I also want to mention the importance of the Banner Preferences. Initially, I had the scrolling banner enabled, but it became a bit distracting. Disabling it gave me a cleaner interface, which I much prefer.Overall, setting up iViri was a positive experience once I figured out the right steps.
