I recently set up my Fibaro RGBW controller with the RGB Controller Plugin, and I must say, it’s been a fantastic experience! 
I wanted to share my journey and some tips for anyone looking to create dynamic lighting scenes, especially those animations that really bring the space to life. Getting Started: After installing the Fibaro RGBW and configuring it with my VeraLite, I immediately noticed the potential for creating immersive lighting scenarios. The RGB Controller Plugin was a perfect fit, offering a wide range of customization options. However, setting up animations wasn’t as straightforward as I hoped. The Challenge: I wanted to automate an animation scene but stumbled upon the need to input a ProgramId and ProgramName in the scene management section. Initially, this was a bit confusing. I scoured forums and documentation, and while I found some helpful hints, I still needed to piece together the solution. The Solution: After some trial and error, I discovered that the ProgramId corresponds to the specific animation preset you want to run, and the ProgramName is simply a descriptive label for your scene. For example, if I wanted to run a preset called “Rainbow Flow,” I’d input the corresponding ID (which I found in the plugin’s documentation) and label it as “Rainbow Flow” for clarity. Tips for Others: - Documentation is Key: Always refer back to the plugin’s documentation. It’s a treasure trove of information, even if it’s a bit technical. - Test Scenes Individually: Before integrating everything into a complex scene, test each component separately to ensure it works as expected. - Experiment with Timing: The timing of your animations can drastically change the mood. Play around with different speeds and transitions to find what suits your space best. My Experience: Setting up these scenes has completely transformed my home. Whether it’s a cozy dinner with friends or a vibrant movie night, the ability to change the ambiance with just a touch is invaluable. It’s also been a great way to automate routines, like transitioning to softer hues in the evening for a more relaxing atmosphere. Looking Ahead: I’m now exploring how to integrate these lighting scenes with other smart devices, like my thermostat and media system, to create a fully synchronized home experience.
