Successfully Transitioning Shelly 2.5 Back to Shelly App

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience with transitioning my Shelly 2.5 device back to the Shelly App after using it with HomeKit. Initially, I faced some challenges, but I managed to figure it out, and I thought it might be helpful to share my journey with you all. :tada:

I started by trying the method mentioned in one of the posts, using the provided link to reset the firmware. Unfortunately, that didn’t work for me. After some research and trial and error, I discovered that the best approach was to perform a factory reset on the device. Here’s what I did:

  1. Physical Reset: I held down the reset button on the Shelly 2.5 for about 10 seconds until the LED started flashing. This indicated that the device was in recovery mode.
  2. Reconnecting: After the reset, I removed the device from my HomeKit setup and reconnected it directly to the Shelly App. This time, the process went smoothly without any issues.
  3. Reconfiguration: I then reconfigured all my settings within the Shelly App, which was a breeze thanks to the user-friendly interface.

It’s amazing how such a small device can make such a big difference in home automation. The Shelly App has a lot of great features that I hadn’t fully utilized before, and now I’m excited to explore them further! :bulb:
