I recently upgraded my Vera-Plus controllers from version 1.7.3015 to 1.7.3232, and I must say, the process was seamless! It’s always a bit nerve-wracking to update firmware, but this one went without a hitch. I had one controller that was giving me the ‘Controller Cannot Go Into Learn Mode’ error, which was quite frustrating. However, after the upgrade, that problem vanished completely.
I decided to test the learn mode functionality again just to be sure. I enabled the header notifications and attempted to add a new device remotely. To my delight, the controller responded without any issues, and the error message I was accustomed to seeing was nowhere to be found. It’s such a relief to have that problem behind me.
For anyone else experiencing similar issues, I’d recommend checking if there’s an available firmware update. Sometimes, these bugs are resolved in newer versions, and it can save you a lot of time and frustration. I’m planning to try adding a new device physically once I get home, but I’m optimistic it’ll work like a charm now.
It’s always great to see how these updates can breathe new life into your smart home setup. I’m looking forward to exploring more features and automations with my Vera-Plus controllers now that this issue is resolved. Thanks to the developers for continuously improving the software!
